Hindu Lit for Life Special session on Friday (blog marathon post 15)

The Hindu Lit For Life is having a special session on Friday. 17th June at Starmark Chennai. I would be in conversation with Sandhya Sridhar. If you are in Chennai, do drop in. I would love to see you.

Whenever such events happen, my publishers usually send an official invite. But for my readers I always create a personal invite, which is what you see above. Both invites are equally valid! :)

Here is the official invite:

Since Chennai is one of the cities I grew up in, it holds fond memories. If you have folks in Chennai, who have read my books and want to meet me, please do share this with them.

And of course, if you have already bought copies of my book(s) and want me to sign them for you, please do  get them.

Will post again tomo.
Bye!

Re-store : A delightful little shop in Whitefield, Bangalore.

All of us are guilty, at least to some extent  of hoarding stuff. We hold on to old things--be it clothes, books, utensils, footwear, knick-knacks or some such, that form the minutiae of our daily lives. Many a time these add to the the clutter too. Rare is the home which looks like the above pic.

I am a huge fan of Marie Kondo, and I highly recommend her book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up  which is more than just a book.

It is an entire philosophy, and a new approach. I read the book back to back, and immediately put into use the methods described in the book. I must tell you how wonderful I felt! I never thought that I could be that organised.

Clearing clutter, and the stuff that you no longer have use for, does release 'blocked energy.' There is no scientific or rational explanation for this. I only know that it works for me. Any Feng Shui practitioner and  loads of Eastern Schools of belief will confirm this.

February is here, and so is my blog marathon!

Hey there!

All of you, the regular readers of this blog know that I do a blog marathon each year. It's a term coined by yours truly. It means that I will be posting a new entry, every single day, the whole of this month! So don't forget to hit 'subscribe' on top of this blog (see the button there? Right on top?) to get my posts right in your, inbox.

A lot of people tell me that they wait for my blog marathon. They write in and tell me that whenever I start my blog marathon, they start their day by reading my posts.

Thank you so much for that! A request--please do leave me comments, so that I know you have read it. Else it feels like I am talking to a wall :)  I will definitely try and reply to all the comments left in my comment box.

On some days, I will be posting the sketches I make.
On some days, it may be a short entry. On some other days, there might be longer posts.

My best friend's wedding :)

The above is where I am staying right now! It is an amazing place :)
I am here for the wedding of one of my closest friends.

You can see videos of me dancing on my Instagram account in my story (which will be available for 24 hours).

Here are some more snap shots from today.

How can any Indian wedding be complete without Mehndi?

As you can see from the above pics, as well as from my Insta feed, I am having a really really good time.

More updates tomorrow.
(I left home at 3.00 am today, as I had an early morning flight)

Stay tuned!
