Believe in yourself. Blog marathon post 14.

Very often, when we are faced with a difficult situation, we tend to turn to those we consider our closest friends for advice.

We weigh their words and very often act on them too. But I do believe that NOBODY is really 'qualified' to tell YOU, what will work and what will not work in YOUR situation. (I am obviously not talking about advice  on a particular skill set required to do a specific task)

The fact is nobody, (not your parents, not your best friend, not even your soul mate) is going to really understand what YOU, as an individual are going through. They are always going to tell you what they presume will work or not work, for your greater good.

But they truly aren't experiencing the exact same emotions that you are. They may say they understand and in fact they may believe that completely do, but truly they will never get it. Your dreams, your pain, your hopes, your emotions are truly yours alone.

Am I saying that you should never ask for advice? NO. We have much to learn from older folks who might have gone through a similar situation. Age does have its advantages after all.

But I think the best way would be to follow what your inner voice tells you. Spend some time alone. Write down what is bothering you. I have discovered that writing in a journal is truly a great way to give direction and expression to that inner voice of yours which often gets drowned.

Believe in yourself. You are definitely more awesome that you think. Yes, you can do it,
All you have to do is believe.

And take that one step at a time.

Always remember, the journey of a thousand miles begins with that single step. And the hour is always darkest just before dawn.

  3. I have realized this too... many a times the advice that is given to you never seems right also. Then you just correct the person's advice... tell them why it is not going to work...

There is really no point... one should just look within oneself. It might longer and might be harder, but it does work.

  4. Very true! And inspiring... sometimes there are things we know already, but a gentle nudge is needed to make us remember. This worked like that for me. :)

It's awesome you're writing even while traveling. Good luck for the launch!! :)

  5. i just have a little opinion. When our feelings, joy or pain is only ours we also need to know we failed to made real soulmate. Soulmate is one who know us better than us, who understand us better than us, a good soulmate will never give advice but he or she will make our heart feel it. But the truth is such soulmates are rare in real so we make our heart as our soulmate and listening to it.
