The Pune launch and Tuesday prompt.

Was in Pune for a launch on 18th feb at Crossword. Senapati Bapat Marg. It went off really well. For some lovely pictures from the launch go here.

I am truly overwhelmed by the warm reception I got in Pune, especially from many of the readers of this blog.

A big thank you to all who attended.

One of my closest friends, Mayank Mittal drove all the way from Mumbai to attend this launch. It was a complete surprise to me! I never expected him there and I was so darn delighted!  (and he had to close his eyes for that one snap :) and I am glowing like a 1000 watt bulb, I know :) )

Of course Satish was there too (he clicked the above snap)--he was SO proud of me  and I do feel very grateful for the presence of genuine well-wishers that my life seems to be filled with. Many people who turned up for the launch told Satish that they are big fans of his writing and that he should consider writing  a book as well.

The Media was there too, clicking away pictures after pictures. Nitin Lawate clicked some amazing pictures of me and he was very kind to share them with me. He is a superb photographer and you can check out his portfolio  by clicking HERE.

I specifically liked this picture that Nitin clicked of me during the audience interaction(without my knowledge of course, it was completely candid)

The next event is at Delhi, on 26th, 2PM at Pragati Maidan during the World Book Fair. You are welcome to attend! :)

And oh--I nearly forgot, on Saturday, I was interviewed live on radio (Chennai FM--Chennai's only English music station) and it was a great conversation. Will post audio clip soon.

And now for the much awaited Tuesday prompt. (Again, I am travelling and will not be able to leave individual comments this time too but I do read every single link that is submitted)

Write three sentences about yourself,  first sentence starting with T., second with  E and third with A
(as it spells TEA). If you want to write more, write four more sentences but they have to start with C, A, K and E respectively. (CAKE)

Interesting? :) Dive in and take part!
And don't forget to leave me a comment after submitting your link.

  8. Hey Preeti, finished reading your book the same day..it was very engrossing, and very much on-the-mark, without unnecessary drama; a tale of courage and also of hope. It was indeed about how life goes on, no matter what, and we need to flow with it.

All characters were very well fleshed out and made their choices with conviction and courge. Loved every minute of it!

Also I feel you are truly gearing up for something big, something awesome is about to come from you. All the best for all the coming books!

Are you missing a sign? (or What do you think this means?)

Yesterday, something strange happened to me.
In the mornings and in the evenings, I always take my dog for a walk. Sometimes, we go thrice a day.
Yesterday, in the morning, when I went for my walk, I saw this.

It was a little rope which was lying in my path in the shape of a heart. I just found it cute and amusing. So I clicked a picture and posted in on my Instagram stories. (I keep posting  throughout the day, tiny snippets from my life.) Those of you who follow me on instagram, must have seen this in my feed. You can see my foot and my dog's paw in the above photo.

Then I walked on. A few minutes later, I found another rope/chord lying on my path--and this one too in the shape of a heart! I clicked another photo.

Here too you can see my foot and my dog's paw.

I had read a lot of posts from Erin Pavlina, as in the past many remarkable coincidences kept happening in my life. Erin has written a very useful piece, where she explains how to tell if something is a sign from the…

A few happy things!

Over the last few days, I have been making a portrait every single day, as a part of#Risedrawas well as the May Drawing challenge. Initially I was posting my portraits every single day, on this blog. Then I realised that not too many people read this blog for  my portraits :) Also I do have a dedicatedInstagram page for my art where I post daily!

I didn't see any point in duplicating the same here. Especially because, I also post it on sktchy app. So to post it a third time on my blog, didn't make any sense.

In case  you do not have an Instagram account, you can still click on the link, bookmark it, and see it from your laptop :)

Apologies to all those who have written to me saying that they are disappointed that I didn't post daily here--this was the reason.

Also a big thank you to all of you who interpreted the 'heart signs' that I had been seeing everywhere.
I want to tell you all, that the heart signs continued the next day too! It was the craziest thing ever…

A nameless relationship--a short story by Preeti Shenoy.

Today---just a photo for you.

This picture was clicked a little while ago. I posted it on my Instagram  with the caption:
Hang on to everything that makes you feel good ! Hold tight and do not let go. Especially true friendships. <3 I am blessed to have some great friends in my life, and that reflects in all my books, all my writing. My novels are mostly heart-warming and always look at the bright side of life.

But what a lot of people do not know is that I write very dark short stories.

One of my short stories has just released.
You can get it here:  http://amzn.to/2osqRam

(It's not an e-book..It is a short story and it is available only on Kindle. You can download the Kindle app if you do not own a Kindle)

That's all for today.
New post tomorrow.
