What is this?

Can you say what both these are? Both are common objects. The pictures were clicked by Atul (aged 9), again on a 'photography project' which I assigned him, in order to dissuade T.V watching. When he first showed it to me, I couldnt guess what it was (even though it was in my home!). Can you?

(Shall reveal the answer after I have your guesses. I'm sure many of you will get it right)

And here are more pictures, clicked by him from unusual angles.

  2. It's a lampshade seen from above, no? And on the center there's the light bulb. Very clever! :)

  7. Geez, I didn't know until I read the others' answers! How clever of both of you! You, for coming up with an idea that doesn't involve TV or video games, and him for being so creative with his choices.

  9. I'd say the first orange picture is the inside of a blender operating empty. For the second one, no idea at all. The curtain and the stairs pictures look great for their angles!! Atul does a very good job with the camera!!!

  14. Lovely pics, considering they are clicked by a 9-year old. And a good way to keep him away from the dumb TV set. I wish him happy holidays and let his creativity take wings.

  15. Absolutely brilliant pics for a 9 year old. Am sure he will turn out to be one of the top photographers if he takes this up as a profession. First glance difficult to guess what these are. However it is the imagination and the angles with which the pics are taken that is truely amazing for a nine year old to visualise and take. I would never have tried these out myself.
