    1. Thank you for pre-ordering Srilakhsmi. i think currently my publishers have tied up with Cross-word for signed copies. I think they are also working towards signing up with other sites. I don't control the logistics. I sign them at one go and they are taken care of by my publishers.

  4. Hi Preeti! Here's my entry, a quick email to Mark:

Hi Mark! Visiting Incredible India will be an unforgettable experience, especially if it's your first trip abroad. Have you planned your trip meticulously? If you haven't you should.

India has *so* much to offer that you need to sit and make a day-wise travel plan to make the most of things. You can literally get onto a train one evening and wake up in a completely different place where people speak a new language, cook new cuisine, and have a new history to narrate.

There's an India for travelers who love adventure sports, an India for travelers who love food (trust me on this), an India for travelers who love history, an India for travelers who love wildlife - I can go on. Depending on the experiences you want out of this trip, do your research beforehand and make plans in advance.

Your budgets are up to you - India can offer you some of the most lavish experiences and also some of the most satisfying economical experiences. The government tourism offices are very friendly and are your best bet to help you organize your trip.

Hope you have a nice trip - do post pics for us to see!

  22. Hey hi mark! Feels grt to know that u want to visit India...actually preeti mam gave me a responsibility i must say opportunity to tell u something about India...after a while i thought thay what can i tell u about India which u never heard before?or how can i introduce my beautiful India perfectly to u more than anyother one? Its does nt mean that i don't have anything to say, bt its clearly mean that there is so much to say that i am confuse that from where it should have to began....so till now u heard about its nature, beautiful places to visit like golden temple,tajmahal,rajastan,mumbai,chennai,manali...etc etc...nd how can anyone forget our festivals which r more than the days in one year :):) jokes a part.. u heard abt how this all places nd things makes the India so beautiful...bt u know what ,i wanted to tell u that things about India which u never heard it before nd which u even could not find with the help of google...so lets see the India from my view..... I agree to the statement that all the

places, traditions, cultures, festivals mades India so beautiful nd incredible bt i genuinly believe that India is India bcos of the Indians...their mentalility, their beliefs, their values, their kindness, their thoughts nd their ethics... This is the country where wives however intelligent nd modern they r, they treat their husbands as god nd respect their thought nd views nd sacrifice their whole life in the service for their in-laws...this is the country where the person having highest status or position in the society also bend his ownself nd touch the feet of his elders in respect to them like anyother indian....this is the country where one thread ( Rakhi) can bind two person' relation with each other more than their real one.....this is the country where guests r treated as god.....this is the country where family is just not a family, here family is a backbone of individuals's life .....this is the country where mother now also get scared whenever her childs comes late....

this is the country where girls wear everything bt still they believe that they look super sensual( even covering their whole body)in sari the traditional attire of India....

this is the country where now also people think of god whenever they think to do some good or bad things....for good thing bcos they need blessing of god nd ,before bad things bcos they scared of him its obviously shaws that somewhere they believe in him.....this is the country which do good with the good one nd change bad into good...this is the country where relations r more important than money....this is the country where people accept there guest as their family member nd welcome them whole heartly....this is the country where people just want love nd words of love from others....
This is my country mark, which purely know how to take the love and how to give it to others with the open hands....u r most welcome mark, just come and take your part of unconditional love from India.

  25. To : Mark Miller
Subject : A glimpse of India from my eyes .
    Time : 14:33 pm
    From : Aayush Goyal

    Namaste,

I went to Kashmir , it was beautiful , it was cold, then i noticed a solitary Muslim ranger guarding a Hindu Temple. I felt unity , I felt Love.

I visited Bengal , and found my eyes locked with the radiant gaze of the mighty Durga , I felt enchanted and a little intimidated. But , then i tasted the Bengali sweets and realised that the accent of the girl offering the sweets was even sweeter . I felt warmth , I felt love .

I visited Gujarat and found myself temporarily deafened by the lioness' roar , I felt petrified , I felt terrified . But then I heard the beautiful composition of a flute echoing from the faraway land of Dwarka , weaving and shielding me from every harm . I relaxed and realised that , that song was the essence , the fragrance of my soul. I felt protected , I felt love .

I visited Goa , and found the waves of the ocean crashing against the rocky cliff . I sensed change , I sensed mutiny . But then I noticed a lady , with hair, the colour of sunshine and skin, paler than the moon. I looked into her clear eyes and realised that I could see straight through , deeper and deeper , i saw her heart , but then I saw myself reflected in those clear eyes and I realised there was nothing so foreign about her afterall. I felt happy , i felt love.

I visited Kerala and found myself in a church , people chanting hymns addressed to the saviour , the saviour of whom I did not know of. I felt alienated and perplexed. Then I spotted the statue of an angel nailed to the cross and i smiled . I realised that I have always known of this angel , I have worshipped him all my life , but only by a different name. I closed my eyes and offered a silent prayer too complex for words to compose yet easily felt. I felt at home , I felt love .

I went to Kanyakumari , and found myself at the country's end . The thought felt strangely sad and desolate . But then I noticed beautiful diyas floating above the dark water . Each flame representing a hope , a dream , a destination . Each flame on its solitary journey . Fire and water , existing together , without destroying each other . Water flowing , carrying the flame towards its destination , both giving meaning to each others' existence . There were tears in my eyes yet a smile played upon my lips. I felt complete , I felt love.

  32. Hello Preeti Mam. Here is my entry for the touch 2 competition. My mail to Mark.

    Hi Mark,
Glad about your visit to India.
INDIA- what to tell about it? Everyone is aware that India is known for its exotic culture, religion, food, monuments and it's scenic beauty. India is famous for its geographical and cultural diversity from snow - dusted mountains to sun - washed beaches, tranquil temples to feisty festivals , lantern - lit villages to software - supermo cities. It's a place who can make anyone fall in love with it. For me India truly means Love , pure love. So as it's your first visit to India let's make it memorable and romantic. India has one of the world's most romantic monument - The epitome of love- Taj Mahal. This white Mausoleum decants love from all sides. This mausoleum's white marble shifts it's colour and tone to match the mood of the world outside - a transformation that is enchanting to watch.
The second place that I would suggest is the "Venice Of The East" and the "Most Romantic City Of India" - Udaipur. This city of dawn is the most romantic and most beautiful cities of India. Udaipur is a mesmerising land around the azure water lakes , hemmed in by lush hills of Aravalis. A vision in white drenched in romance and beauty, this city of rajasthan is a fascinating blend of sights , sounds and experiences.
The third place would be the city of Arabian nights - Jaisalmer.Jaisalmer will bring the fairy tales back into your life with the experience of camel safari, camp under the stars in the desert sand or by just watching the sky turn orange as the sunsets over the dunes. I can assure you would have a spell bound experience.
By the time you are done with these romantic places it would be time when India will be celebrating its most beautiful festival - the festival of lights - Diwali. So it is a great chance for you to visit the holy city of India - varanasi. On the eve of Diwali , the ghats of varanasi will be illuminated with thousands of diyas(earthen lamps) transforming the proverbial "city of lights" into mesmerising reality. This would be the best place to end your first trip to India.

So come and fall in love with my country. Hope you enjoy your visit to India and get back with an experience which is truly incredible.

    Regards
    Maitri
