Magic of faith

little girl
Really sorry--I have had to remove this post as it will soon appear in a book. Making it available online would have been very unfair to my publisher who has placed so much trust in me. I hope you enjoy the other posts as much as you enjoyed this one. A heartfelt thanks for your support and understanding. Thanks for continuing to read what I write.

  1. oh what a beautiful post about great mommy power at work - thanks for sharing these beautiful moments. I would like to be six again as well - to whole heartedly believe in something like that and then make it happen by sheer power of believing.

  2. oh my.. I've got goosebumps.. this is amazing.. :)
Faith does miracles at times :)
So sweet of the sun not to show up ;)
I too love children that age :D In fact I sometimes feel children should be at least 3 yrs old when born ;) and let's hope little Purvi never learns to lie :-S

  5. Pink Dogwood: How trusting they are--How they believe in you.It is so humbling, isn't it?

Shruti: She will change for sure. But for now, i cherish it.

Brocasarea: but why 'lol'? Truly it was a magical moment. I guess only a parent or a woman would understand.

Suma: Oh yes--how they believe you.

  6. I dont have much to say..it just leaves the reader with a smile.

  7. I love that age too...my younger one is similar to that age...and I know what you're saying.
The faith in which they put themselves into our hands...its so heart-tugging.
I can imagine the "my mommy bestest" scene...
aaawww....*hugs* to lil P...and may her faith remain strong always

  8. Aww! That's so sweet! And you have such a sweet, precious little girl! How I wish our kids can be innocent and sweet like this forever!

  10. Wow it was such a sweet post.. all kids r adorable and lil girls especially.. Just love them :)

  11. Lovely, so sweet and innocent. I really hope the sun was not that bright that day, it is not fair for the kids to stand under the sun for so long.

  12. One doesnt have to be six to see/feel thier amma's miracles! I feel it still. Rather I feel it now more than ever. Faith really does move mountains! For you it moved the clouds to a favourable position :-)
    A GREAT post

  13. Awwwwwww...My gosh!! How sweet!!

  14. I absolutely love it whenever you write about kids, or about the bonding between a mother and her child. Mainly bcos many things which you communicate thru 'mama moments,' I can relate to my own life a well. :)

I too know a mother and her child just like Atul,Purvi and their mom. The mother is as caring as theirs, but the son can't claim to be as sweet as Atul or Purvi.

    ReplyDelete
  15. You just can't beat an 'aaaww' moment like that, can you?

    Great post, PS.

    :-)

  16. Gosh...that so sweet!

  17. You know I still believe that my mom can talk to the Sun and other higher powers - what she says always comes true! Some things like a moms faith never change i guess, regardless of whether you are 6 or 60! :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. I guess things work that ways...Their innocence and trust is always rewarded :)

Blog hopped from someplace. You write well. :)

  22. Wonderful post.
This would make a great children's book. I could envision all sorts of things that would make the sun not shine as hot.

    ReplyDelete
  23. :( How bad of me asking the Sun to be hotter so that white chiks can be more open with their dressing... I should have considered sweet children like ur daughter too....
From now on, I am offering my cap to any small kid who's walking in the hot sun.... :)
All the best for whatever she is doing in her sports day function....

  24. Awwwwwwww..SOOOOOOO SWEET!

u know i was begining to get skeptical n cyical n say today's kids no more have that innocence we used to have and they are missing the most imp part of childhood...but ur li'l one is making the best of it..thanks to her gr8 mommy!

I'm so Jealous of that innocence..when everything is taken at face value and one doesnt know wat it is to read btw lines or lie!
