A very special day
Some people have great difficulties saying "I love you" to the ones they really do. They want to. They would very much like to. But somehow the words get stuck in the throat or at a level deeper down and the best they can come up with is 'Take care' or 'See you soon' or something equivalent.
Me, I am quiteshameless expressive that way. If I feel it, I say it. I throw in a hug and maybe a kiss too :-) Those that I love know I do :-)
Satish is quite shy when it comes to saying the words. When we first met 15 years ago, one of the first things he gave me was this tiny little clip-on bear whose hands (they were clips actually) would grasp the object they would cling to. To this day, I remember his exact words. He said " I am a very shy guy. So this guy says 'I love you' " and he gave me that little bear (it fits in the palm of my hand) which I truly treasure to this day. (Yeah, I am so sentimental that way. Any expression of love and I am floored). This was before our marriage at Mumbai airport, when I had gone to receive him. I am sure he was stunned when I grabbed him and kissed him right there in full public view. :-) I adored him all the more for it, while he squirmed, half in shock, half in embarrassment but a huge wide grin spreading across his face all the same.
Over the years, nothing has changed. (Thankfully) Except that I have raised my two children to say 'I love you' and to hug and kiss too. I get my large share of it daily. (Oh, how I love it and now satish does too). Of course my children (just like me) are very very selective to whom they say it.
We exchanged a lot of hugs and kisses and 'i love you' s today. Today is a special day after all. It is his birthday. :-)
This song I dedicate to you, Satish..(yeah, I am corny/silly/filmy that way and very happily so :-) )
And as for the words on the collage, you know how much I mean them too.

Yes, I do not say it much as you have mentioned in the post but you know for me the world and universe revolves around the 3 of you. I do adore you three and life would not have been as good as it has been but for the 3 of you - I also feel you 3 are the biggest assets I have after all these years.

@tarabhatt - completely agree. Keep telling her that when we reach 100 we will switch off the light together after a long and fruitful life together. Not one minute before and not one minute after.
