The alphabet Meme

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Found this really interesting and insightful meme at Blue’s.

This was so different from the usual memes and this tells so much about the person doing it, that I decided to do it.(I always fall for things that make me think, introspect and ruminate) Here it is.

Rule 1: Without changing the first word, after each letter of the alphabet, write a sentence that captures you/your essence.
Rule 2: Tag as many people as you want, but do tag at least one. This is an eye opening experience and can express to those who read it, things about you that they did not really understand before.
Rule 3: List who you are tagging.

I have no idea why the word after G is ‘leave’ But I decided to let it GO and not change it.I also do not know why Y is missing but I let that go as well! :-)

*A* Accept that not everyone is going to like you or appreciate you, no matter what you do
*B* Break. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
*C* Create a wealth of true friends
*D* Decide that you will listen to your inner voice
*E* Explore all possibilities in a given situation.
*F*Forgive but do not forget. It makes you wiser.
*G* Leave things that do not need fixing alone!
*H* Hope is the greatest driving force.
*I* Ignore those who say that you cannot do it.
*J* Journey is sometimes better than the destination
*K* Know yourself inside out. It helps you in knowing others!
*L* Love lasts forever and ever—Only the partner changes! LOL.
*M*Manage changes. They are the only permanent things.
*N*Notice one good thing about the person next to you right now and SAY it to them.
*O* Open your hearts and minds and think of others for a little while.
*P* Play a sport regularly.
*Q* Question anything negative that you hear about others—and dismiss it immediately.
*R* Relax –Its so important to preserve your sanity!
*S* Share a smile.It changes everything.
*T* Try to see things from the other person’s perspective.
*U* Use your brain.Think!
*V* Value people who love you truely.
*W* Work hard.It eventually pays off.
*X* X-ray your innermost thoughts and get a positive picture.
*Z* Zoom up above into space and we realize how insignificant we really are!

I tag everyone on my blogroll on the right side of this page( If you feel like it, that is! It is fun!)If anyone else wants to do it, please let me know--I'll be sure to come and read it.
*************************************************************
After I published this post, my friend Guto (see comment box) wrote and gave me the missing alphabets. So those doing the tag can add these
*B*-Break away from convention.Normal is boring!
*G* - Grow in thoughts and good deeds.
*Y *- Yield to laughter.Nothing rejuvenates you more and keeps you young!

Thank you Guto!!

  5. Hi, I found this game elsewhere, and it seems to be in the original form. The differences are:

    B - Break Away
    G - Grow
    Y - Yield

Maybe your tagged friends should follow the above version?

BTW, I liked your "F" answer, so true.

  15. I may just do this meme but I warn you now that some of my answers will be very similar to yours!

Your 'zoom' one reminds me of a past post of yours where a picture kept expanding out each time you clicked on it. It really does give a sense of proportion and ones place in things. On the one hand no-one is the centre of the universe, on the other hand, we all have our place in it :)

  16. Thank GOD your blogroll is not arranged alphabetically, as is the meme. I think this cancels me out.

  18. P.S. I loved this! Great for doing it. I love reading the answers others come up with. I have been out of blogging for a day or two since my wee travels. I will go back to see if I missed anything.
You are a wise woman. And one I wouldn't want to cross! I think you must not suffer fools gladly.
    I like that!

A Hundred Little Flames - Chapter 1

There were two completely unrelated incidents that happened on Sunday, which would change Ayan’s life forever.

1. He attended an office party thrown by his boss in a swanky uptown pub in Pune.
2.More than a thousand miles away, in a small village in Kerala, not identifiable by Google Maps, his grandfather had a fall.

On Monday morning, unaware of anything but the clock on his computer ticking, Ayan took a sip of the horrendous office tea with over-boiled tea leaves, too much milk and sugar. He had only forty-five minutes left before the meeting was to begin. Beads of perspiration trickled down his forehead into his eye, and he blinked. His brow furrowed, he sat hunched, with an ache in his neck, his fingers flying across the keyboard. He felt as though somebody was raining blows inside his head. His throat was parched despite the tea, and now his stomach began to feel queasy as well.
He regretted having that fourth tequila last night. But Randhir had insisted. You can hardly…

Lots of me! An update of what I have been upto, the last two weeks.

Over the last two weeks, I have spent more time in planes, airports, cars and hotel rooms than I have at home. To say that it has been awfully hectic would understating it.
I have been travelling. A LOT. Those of you who follow my Instagram feed, would  know that I had been to Mumbai, Delhi and Jammu over the last two weeks.

In Mumbai, I had an interview with Sonali Bendre. She runs a book club called Sonali's Book Club. They pick up a book, read it, and then discuss it. I was overjoyed that she found my book fascinating. We had an in-depth conversation about the book. It was easily one of the best interviews i have had.
It was live on Facebook as well as Instagram.
In case you missed it, do watch it below:

I also had a live interaction with Midday, and FirstPost.
That was fun as well. You can watch the Firstpost one below:

In Delhi, I had a lovely interaction with InUth. They asked me if I like Durjoy or Ravinder. You can see what i answered in the below video :)

I also had se…

Ten things nobody told you about being an author

1. People you don't know will love you such a lot.

2. People you don't know will hate you.

3. You will travel to places you never dreamt you could go.

4.The places you travel to, will include those places inside your head you never want to visit.

5.People will mistakenly think something you write is about them.

6. You will offend people.

7.You will lose friends.

8. You will discover that the friends you lost weren't really friends in the first place.

9.You will  never have bad experiences. They just turn into writing ideas.

10. You will become a curious observer of the human race. (oh wait! You already were!)
